Dean Barker, an ambitious and enthusiastic sportsman, was invited to helm the Emirates Team New Zealand boat at the Americas Cup in 2000, and ever since he has been a loyal member of the Team. In 2003 Dean Barker became skipper of the Emirates Team New Zealand and led them to the next Americas Cup. OMEGA's partnership with Emirates Team New Zealand began in 1995.
